Hi, I’m Megan, thanks for stopping by. Here is a little more info about me!
Most days, you’ll find me at home working remotely in digital marketing for a marketing agency in Pennsylvania. I am so fortunate to be able to work at home and live in the beautiful state of Utah with Mr. B. a.k.a. hubs.
In my free time, you can find me in my sewing space, reading or spending time outside. I’m an animal lover at heart and my favorite outdoor activities include hiking, running and most recently going for bike rides with Mr. B.
A little Background:
You might be wondering why the name of this blog is A Girl and Her Hound and I neglected to mention the hound in my short description above.
I started this blog just over 3 years ago when I was living with Copper, my beloved Beagle, in a small southeastern Pennsylvania town. Copper now spends his days living with my parents, their dog Nyla and their two cats. Due to his severe separation anxiety, he wasn’t able to make the move to Utah. He and I don’t get to visit often but I know that he thinks of me often.
Initially, I decided to start this blog for my own therapy. Ryan, my first husband and Copper’s dad, passed away in May 2012 from Melanoma. Ryan and I were together for seven years and were married for 6 months. To learn more about Ryan’s Melanoma story, check out my post entitled Wear Sunscreen.
I strive to educate the pretty much anyone on the dangers of Melanoma and to promote safe skin practices. I also used this blog to update my friends and family on my everyday life including the good, the bad and the messy. Over the past few years, I’ve learned that grief can take many forms but i’m determined to find something to smile about each day.
